What is the EMMETT Technique?
The EMMETT technique is a unique body therapy created by Ross Emmett. It is a technique which has been shown to ease pain and discomfort, increase movement and improve quality of life.
The EMMETT Technique involves the application of light finger pressure at specific points on the body. In a similar way to the workings of a touch-screen the body responds to this light touch by changing muscle tension and action.
Symptoms that may be relieved include:
- Injuries from sport or accidents
- Unbalanced gait/stance
- Lead/harness strain
- Lower back distress
- Inhibited movement/muscle restrictions
- Poor performance / behaviour changes
The results can be dramatic even for first-time clients. Accurate and fast assessments of imbalances in the body are an integral feature of this technique.
An EMMETT treatment improves recovery thereby helping dogs achieve peak performance, along with addressing lameness, muscle restrictions and uneven gait.
What happens next?
Appointments take place at our treatment room in Arborfield. Before booking please ensure you reside within the catchment area. To book an appointment please visit: https://1bodyuk.as.me and select “Dog Therapy” and then “Emmett 4 Dogs – Initial Consultation”.
You’ll be asked to provide some brief information about your dog. Before the appointment it is important that the dog’s vet is informed, they are to have Emmett treatment. As such, it would be very helpful if you’re able to contact the vet before the appointment, but this is also a service we can provide, if need be. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me at alex@1-body.co.uk.
